IYCA High School Strength & Conditioning Coach Certification

Exactly as I predicted, the “High School Strength & Conditioning Coach” certification has been absolutely flying off the shelves since I released it yesterday.

There is an unbelievable buzz at IYCA Head Office that, quite frankly, I haven’t seen in a very long time – the whole Fitness and Sport Training industry is lighting up over this new certification!

(See what all the buzz is about by clicking here —> https://iyca.org/highschool/)

And why wouldn’t they be?

After all:

You receive a certification and gain credentials to work with the fastest growing and most ‘in need’ demographic in the entire sports training industry.

You learn the inside secret systems for training high school athletes by some of the most successful Coaches on the planet (Eric Cressey, Mike Robertson, Wil Fleming).

Until Saturday January 29, you can own the “High School Strength & Conditioning Coach” certification for a full $100 discount.

But perhaps the most important reason…

The lynchpin that is making it so practically every single Coach and Trainer worldwide wants to become a certified “High School Strength & Conditioning Coach”?

Because it’s a Risk Free (more…)

Qualifications to Work with Young Athletes

[wpfblike]

Young Athletes and the qualifications needed to train them

I started my career by training nothing but Olympic Champions, National Team Competitors and Professionals Athletes.

But what I came to realize is that none of those experiences made me qualified to train young athletes.  Neither would I be qualified if I had an Olympic Medal around my neck or a Super Bowl ring on my index finger.

We constantly mistake ‘big names’ or ‘big credentials’ as qualified.

Let me put it this way… The most impressive and decorated mathematician at NASA is a literal genius with the topic of math, but would you really think them qualified and ideal to teach your 7 year old son how to multiply?

Success in sport or at the highest level of Coaching doesn’t mean that one is suited to understand and be fluent in the unique sciences of youth sports training.  Seek experience and education pertaining to the specialty at hand – not glitz and glamour.

Please, comment below… We truly want to hear your thoughts on this!

Hawaii Trainer Becomes Leading IYCA Professional

IYCA recognition

News Release
For Immediate Release
Contact: Melissa Brady (melissa_brady@iycasupport.com)

May 31, 2010:  Michael Labuanan has recently become the IYCA’s most decorated professional in the world.

The Hawaiian native was the first IYCA Professional to earn the organizations ‘Youth Fitness Specialist – Level 3’ distinction.

The ‘Level 3’ distinction has allowed Labuanan to claim the title as the most credentialed Member of the IYCA International Family of Youth Fitness Specialists.

“I love everything about the IYCA and what it stands for” said Labuanan.  “I am ecstatic to be the first certified ‘Youth Fitness Specialist – Level 3’ and the highest ranking IYCA certified trainer in the world right now.  The support of the Members and staff in this organization is by far the best”.

“I don’t think we could be more proud of Michael and his efforts” said Brian Grasso, Founder and CEO of the IYCA.  “He is a model for other IYCA Family Members worldwide”.

To date, only two other Youth Fitness Specialists have earned the ‘Level 3’ credentials through the IYCA.

“It is an honor and a privilege to be a part of the IYCA family. Since joining the IYCA in 2008 and becoming a certified YFS two years ago, my youth fitness program has flourished with the education I have received and continue to receive about youth fitness”, said Labuanan.

“This has definitely been a life changer and I cannot express the gratitude I have for my IYCA Family”.

Youth Fitness Training vs Long Term Athletic Development – Part 3

Youth Fitness Specialists

1) How do I explain that my IYCA credentials make me more qualified than other Trainers?

As the market for youth fitness and sports training continues to increase, parents and coaches will continue seeking the services of professionals in our industry.

IYCA Professionals must differentiate themselves for other local competitors for one reason:

You are, by far and away, the best qualified professional in the industry to be working with young people.

Common points I’ve used when explaining my credentials to parents and coaches, are:

(i) It’s like a post-secondary or advanced medical degree – every Trainer has basic qualifications, but my IYCA credentials are a specialty in the specific field of youth fitness or youth sports training

Youth Speed Certification – Final Chance

Youth Speed Certification Rampage

As I predicted, we literally sold out of the 50 spots within 3 hours.

And why wouldn’t we?

Two certifications.

Two credentials.

Three world-class professionals.

One price – only $197.

Our industry just doesn’t provide opportunities like this and I can’t say as though
I’m surprised that so many people jumped on the chance.

The response actually made me look in a different direction…

I called our host facility and asked them flat-out, if the venue could hold an
additional 10 people.

I’m excited (and a little surprised to be honest) that the answer came back as "yes".

So, that means I get to hold spots for 10 more people.

10 – and then that’s it.

Do you know what it means to be able to say "one of the first in the world"?

I’ll let you think about that while you consider if you want to click on the
link below and reserve one of the final 10 spots for the Youth Speed Certification
….

Kids Fitness Certification: Weekend Food for Thought

[wpfblike]

"It felt more like a family gathering than a conference"

Carlos Alvarez, one of the tremendous speakers from my Summit
two weekends ago in Louisville, wrote that on his blog just three
days after the Summit concluded.

And he’s right.

Nick, Pat, Sara and myself go out of our way to create a ‘family-
oriented’ feel about the IYCA.

It’s not self-serving.

We don’t do it because we think it’s going to get us more ‘sales’.

We do it because we think it’s necessary.

Fitness Professionals are a fragmented group.

Most fitness certification organizations offer credentials and little
more.

They disseminate information and give you letters to put after
your last name, but don’t ever go much above or beyond that to
impact your life or improve your career.

The IYCA is going to change the world partly with our Kids Fitness Certification.

But we can’t do it without you.

You’re part of the family.
