I wanted to thank you for putting out such a great product. Its one of the missing components I feel when it comes to training and conditioning of High School athletes. I’m looking very forward to purchasing the program as I’ve invested over the years in Eric and Mikes products and know I will gain nothing but the best usable information around. My overall goal is to begin working more with high school athletes as well as college and pro.
Thanks Brian for doing what you do

It was truly one of the more informative events I’ve listened to, from what to expect in the new cert (which got me excited) and the knowledge that the contributers have. i’ve had the pleasure of following most of them through blogs and facebook, so the passion and skills to do this I know are ginuine. I’m anxious to get this ball rolling in my area. Congrats on continuous growth in the industry and always for “not” settling.
Thank you so much for all the kind words. It never stops amazing me how much I adore what I do and feel compelled to make change in our industry… And the world. Thank you sincerely for believing in the IYCA and being part of the IYCA Family.
What are the requirements and how long is the program
Thanks Robby
Hi Robby,
The requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent and you must also pass a criminal background check (which is run through a 3rd party processor at our expense). The program is an at-home study with an online examination which is again run through a third party.
How many questions are on the exam, and is there a retake fee?
Hi Wen,
The examination for this course is comprehensive in nature and consists of 75 multiple choice/true false questions derived from the course materials. The exam is housed on-line and in order to successfully complete the course, participants must earn a 70% or better on the exam (53/75).
The examination has been constructed around the primary units for the course and is weighted as follows:
· The high school strength and conditioning specialist: 9 questions
· Strength and power training for the high school athlete: 19 questions
· Speed and agility training for the high school athlete: 19 questions
· Mobility training for the high school athlete: 19 questions
· Coaching the high school athlete: 9 questions
Should you fail to successfully complete the exam on your first attempt, you make make a second attempt for a fee of $50
If you have any questions, please send them to support@iycasupport.com
Thanks!
Thank you very much Sara! This certification is awesome!
I’m very interested in this certification since I will finish my teaching degree next year and hopefully be in a high school somewhere teaching and coaching (football/baseball) in the fall of 2012. Prior to coming across this, my intention was to go through the CSCS certification on my own since I am an English major. What are the pros and cons of doing this certification versus the CSCS? I know most of you have your CSCS as well. Thank you very much for answering my question.
Needless-to-say, the IYCA’s stance is that our educational material is among the very best in the world. We strongly suggest that every person seeking higher knowledge and applied skill in the science and art of training/coaching be an ambitious consumer; being sure to assess which educational opportunity may be best for them.
The IYCA is the only educational entity within the entire Fitness & Sport Training industry that works exclusively in the area of childhood, adolescent and developmental training. It is on this singular factor we draw our strength and continued zeal to be the very best choice for those currently working in the pediatric market; or those intending to.
