High School Strength Certified Coach

IYCA High School Strength & Conditioning Coach Certification

Exactly as I predicted, the “High School Strength & Conditioning Coach” certification has been absolutely flying off the shelves since I released it yesterday.

There is an unbelievable buzz at IYCA Head Office that, quite frankly, I haven’t seen in a very long time – the whole Fitness and Sport Training industry is lighting up over this new certification!

(See what all the buzz is about by clicking here —> https://iyca.org/highschool/)

And why wouldn’t they be?

After all:

You receive a certification and gain credentials to work with the fastest growing and most ‘in need’ demographic in the entire sports training industry.

You learn the inside secret systems for training high school athletes by some of the most successful Coaches on the planet (Eric Cressey, Mike Robertson, Wil Fleming).

Until Saturday January 29, you can own the “High School Strength & Conditioning Coach” certification for a full $100 discount.

But perhaps the most important reason…

The lynchpin that is making it so practically every single Coach and Trainer worldwide wants to become a certified “High School Strength & Conditioning Coach”?

Because it’s a Risk Free (more…)

Dietary Supplements – Hype or Hope?

[wpfblike]

Dietary Supplements

by Dr. Chris Mohr, PhD, RD

There are over 29,000 dietary supplements available.

From creatine to fat burners, whey protein to weight gain formulas.
     What works?
     What doesn’t?
Do you need a supplement to perform at your best?

While giving a talk recently to high school football players, I asked the team this question:

How many of you take dietary supplements?

About 95% of the athletes raised their hands.

I then asked this follow up question.

How many of you ate breakfast this morning?

3 hands out of the entire team went up.

A Perfect Example of What’s Wrong in Youth Sports Training

[wpfblike]

Youth Sports Training Done REALLY wrong

How+to+Teach+Kids+to+Play+Golf — powered by LIVESTRONG.COM

Here’s what I wrote to Scott –

I often refer to this as "Ignorant Child Abuse". Most parents and Coaches like this don’t truly understand the complexity of what they’re doing wrong. I don’t mean to excuse them or vilify them at all, but it’s a lack of understanding regarding neurological, mental and emotional development that has gotten us to where we are in youth sports.

From an "X’s & O’s" perspective, the teaching this golf pro is trying to do is both a moot point and entirely destructive from a future developmental perspective. At Matthew’s age, the key ingredient in athletic development is free play. Experience by doing. Learning via attempting.

This trial and error process of experimental movement is critical in creating what I call "Athletic Intelligence." Not unlike school, when we over-quantify what it is we want kids to do, we don’t allow their CNS to establish a frame of reference regarding understanding the pathology of why something works the way it does. That’s why elementary school is informal from a strict studying perspective. Teachers provide lessons and framework, but then allow students to experiment with finding results. That process is imperative in building a level of cognitive functioning that allows for future, more complex areas of study to be understood.

The Young Athlete That Changed My life

[wpfblike]

Young Athlete Success Story

"Brian completely changed the way I approached training and eating.
But even more than that, Brian completely changed my life"

It’s easy to get causal to comments like this isn’t it?

If you’ve had the kind of career I’ve been blessed to have, you hear
and read comments like that all the time.

This one in particular was written by Kim McCullough.

A standout young hockey player who I had the honor of training 10
years ago when she was just a teenager.

Now in her mid-20’s, Kim is a highly accomplished Strength Coach
herself, and widely known as one of the very best hockey-specific
trainers in the world.

She’s also a very significant and proud member of the IYCA.

So yes, I admit to hearing and reading comments like this one on
a very regular basis.

And I admit that I’ve grown rather numb to them.

They’re certainly nice to hear, but they don’t really penetrate.

Almost like I can’t relate to the enormity of being the guy who
"changed someones life".

But this comment by Kim really gave me pause to reflect today.

She wrote it only minutes after reading my new Youth Obesity
Solution program.

You see, Kim knows firsthand the impact I can have on someone.

My young athlete training system.

My nutritional program.

My mentoring style.

She knows what it’s like to be immersed in a ‘Brian Grasso’
solution.

Kim was a gifted hockey player.

Terribly gifted.

But she was mis-directed in terms of training and nutrition.

And by her own admission, fat.

Some perspective changes on conditioning and food intake
changed her life completely.

And that’s all it took.

Kim knows very well that the greatest benefit of my system is
not founded in the earth shattering science and ‘secretive’
nature of my exercise selection or set and rep schemes.

She knows that it’s the perspective I carry on training,
nutrition and coaching that is the basis of my success.

And that is exactly what you’re going to find in my new
Youth Obesity Solution program.

Fad Diet…. NO!

Innovative Training System…. NO!

Intensive Boot Camp Template…. NO!

These are superficial issues and will NEVER be the solution
to a problem as big as youth obesity.

But you do get to understand my perspective on the matter and
how the ultimate solution is founded in understanding where the
problem actually lies.

The comments you read above from Kim were contained in a blog
she wrote yesterday promoting the Youth Obesity Solution to
her own loyal readership.

She was so impressed with the contents of my new program,
she just had to let her own customers know about how powerful
it is.

Here’s how Kim ended her blog –

"Brian has had a HUGE impact on my life, and as THE world renowned
expert on young athlete development, he has also helped tens of
thousands of kids worldwide. But the impact he is going to have with
his new program goes far beyond young athletes. Brian is tackling the
youth obesity epidemic head on and I have no doubt that his program
is going to be the solution. And we all need to be a part of it
"

Sound advice from someone who knows firsthand just how powerful
my programs can be.

And how much they can change lives.

The title of Kim’s blog is this –

"The Coach That Changed My Life"

I’m honored and flattered.

Maybe it’s time you became a young athlete ‘life changer’ yourself.

Youth Fitness Specialist: Seize the Day

[wpfblike]

Youth Fitness Specialist Certification with the IYCA

Dead Poets Society is one of my favorite movies of all
time.

Have you ever seen it?

Robin Williams plays a rather eccentric English teacher
at a very conservative private school in the Northeastern
portion of the United States.

And he has a way of ‘sticking out’.

The students adore him.  He is funny, quick witted and
makes the material he is teaching literally jump alive
through passion and humor.

The faculty see him altogether differently.

He is against the norm.

Not strict enough in an iron-fisted sort of way.

They resent the bond he strikes up with his students
and lament at the fact that they don’t ‘fear’ him like
they should.

One of the most memorable moments in that movie comes
towards the beginning of the first few opening scenes.

He is addressing his class and showing them photographs
of former students of the school – many of which were
taken decades ago and the people in them long since
deceased.

I remember watching with great intrigue as the scene
unfolded, knowing that there was to be a significant
lesson involved.

"Do you know what these photographs would say to you
if they could talk, boys?"

I remember this line very well.

It was almost like I knew I was about to learn something
of great importance.

"They’d say, Carpe Diem…. Seize the Day"

Now, that Latin saying has gone on to be a very
commonly known part of English vernacular, in large
part of because of Dead Poets Society.

And it’s meaning has become a rallying cry for thousands
of business and life ‘go getters’ worldwide.

Seize the Day.

If this were your last day on earth…

If your life was perfect, it would look like…

I bring this all up to illustrate a point.

That you can have everything you want in life so long
as you commit to going after it.

But you must act.

You must take action.

You must Seize the Day.

"I don’t know if I want to spend the money to get the
IYCA Level 1 Youth Fitness Specialist certification"
I hear this all the time.

But this is the fastest growing niche in the entire
fitness industry and becoming more saturated by the
second.

To make your mark and ensure a successful career, you
need to act now…. Not consider things over and over
again and wait for some kind of ‘sign’ in order to
make your final decision .

Certainly making a decision requires a reasonable amount
of thinking and consideration, but not to a point that it
hinders your desire and need to move forward.

Many people believe that the mark of a savvy consumer
is in the deliberate and slow process they use in
deciding whether or not to make a purchase.

But that’s not savvy.

That’s indecisive.

And in the end, indecision will cost you significantly
more than making a thoughtful, yet expedited determination.

Especially when a ‘good deal’ is staring you straight in
the face.

On Tuesday, the IYCA Level 1 – Youth Fitness Specialist
certification is going up in price.

Period. End of story.

But today, you have an opportunity to become part of
the fastest growing fitness organization and work in the
fastest growing and most lucrative portion of the fitness
industry.

For the lowest price possible.

Last chance.

24 hours.

End of the line.

So will you Seize the Day?

Realize that the excuses you keep conjuring up are nothing
more than you delaying on creating a successful future
for yourself?

I’ve been profiled in Newsweek.

Traveled worldwide as a consultant.

Written two books that have been sold in 6 different
continents.

Become known as the ‘go to guy’ for youth fitness and
sports training.

And every morning when I wake up, I repeat the phrase
‘Carpe Diem’ for at least 5 minutes.

It reminds me that today is a gift.

That today, I have the ability and opportunity to make
something special happen.

And my accomplishments are a direct result of that.

It’s time to Seize the Day.

Opportunity doesn’t wait forever.

And In this case, it’s only going to wait 24 more hours.
