Tackling Childhood Obesity With Youth Fitness Training

Why Youth Fitness Training Is Needed Now More Than Ever!

youth fitness training

Great fitness professionals that have a passion for youth fitness training are needed now more than ever! Childhood Obesity is on the rise and so is the negative impact that this epidemic has on the youth.

I can share with you firsthand what it is like to be overweight as a child and have to suffer though the negative comments and teasing. Luckily I was an athlete so I was able to hide behind my talents on the field and court, but there are many kids that aren’t afforded that luxury.

The impact that youth fitness training can have in our society today is huge. Not only is this one of the fastest growing industries but it is also one of the most needed!

youth fitness training

Here are just a few reasons why we need more youth fitness training programs today:

– The path to obesity starts prior to children transitioning to a diet of solid foods

– 34% of 2-year-olds are obese or overweight. That’s a scary Childhood Obesity statistic.

– The CDC reports that childhood obesity has tripled over the past 3 decades

Those are upsetting statistics to say the least.

However, it doesn’t have to be this way. Fitness professionals get into this industry to help others and what better way to have a huge impact than to change the way our youth fitness training programs are run.

Kids no longer get adequate physical education time in schools and they certainly don’t play enough outdoors. They are pinned down in front of televisions, video games and other mindless forms of entertainment to keep them busy.

There was never a need for youth fitness training programs when kids played, but now there is a need. A big one!

If you have a passion for working with youth and would like to start your youth fitness training program, click the image below to check out the Youth Fitness Specialist Certification and start making an impact today!

The 3 Rules of Youth Fitness: Part 1

[wpfblike]Youth Fitness Rules to follow

When I look around the industry, I find myself becoming more and more discontented with the view.  It seems that there is a never-ending litany of new, innovative and advanced techniques in the field of strength and conditioning that are, in essence, just re-fabricated models and methods that have proved tried and true for literally decades.

This is especially true at the youth level where we tend to walk the fine line of wavering between dummying down adult-based prescription and creating ‘novel’ schemes of building the same results that can, and are developed through the standard basics.

When working with young athletes (aged 6 – 18) I implore you to resist the temptation of thinking too far outside the box and instead concentrate your time and effort on both pondering and answering these 3 specific questions:

  1. Is this Concept vs Cool?
  2. Is it Recipe vs Chef?
  3. What’s the difference between Athletes & Non-Athletes?

Let’s examine ‘Concept vs Cool’ today…

Youth Fitness Specialist: Seize the Day

Youth Fitness Specialist Certification with the IYCA

Dead Poets Society is one of my favorite movies of all
time.

Have you ever seen it?

Robin Williams plays a rather eccentric English teacher
at a very conservative private school in the Northeastern
portion of the United States.

And he has a way of ‘sticking out’.

The students adore him.  He is funny, quick witted and
makes the material he is teaching literally jump alive
through passion and humor.

The faculty see him altogether differently.

He is against the norm.

Not strict enough in an iron-fisted sort of way.

They resent the bond he strikes up with his students
and lament at the fact that they don’t ‘fear’ him like
they should.

One of the most memorable moments in that movie comes
towards the beginning of the first few opening scenes.

He is addressing his class and showing them photographs
of former students of the school – many of which were
taken decades ago and the people in them long since
deceased.

I remember watching with great intrigue as the scene
unfolded, knowing that there was to be a significant
lesson involved.

"Do you know what these photographs would say to you
if they could talk, boys?"

I remember this line very well.

It was almost like I knew I was about to learn something
of great importance.

"They’d say, Carpe Diem…. Seize the Day"

Now, that Latin saying has gone on to be a very
commonly known part of English vernacular, in large
part of because of Dead Poets Society.

And it’s meaning has become a rallying cry for thousands
of business and life ‘go getters’ worldwide.

Seize the Day.

If this were your last day on earth…

If your life was perfect, it would look like…

I bring this all up to illustrate a point.

That you can have everything you want in life so long
as you commit to going after it.

But you must act.

You must take action.

You must Seize the Day.

"I don’t know if I want to spend the money to get the
IYCA Level 1 Youth Fitness Specialist certification"
I hear this all the time.

But this is the fastest growing niche in the entire
fitness industry and becoming more saturated by the
second.

To make your mark and ensure a successful career, you
need to act now…. Not consider things over and over
again and wait for some kind of ‘sign’ in order to
make your final decision .

Certainly making a decision requires a reasonable amount
of thinking and consideration, but not to a point that it
hinders your desire and need to move forward.

Many people believe that the mark of a savvy consumer
is in the deliberate and slow process they use in
deciding whether or not to make a purchase.

But that’s not savvy.

That’s indecisive.

And in the end, indecision will cost you significantly
more than making a thoughtful, yet expedited determination.

Especially when a ‘good deal’ is staring you straight in
the face.

On Tuesday, the IYCA Level 1 – Youth Fitness Specialist
certification is going up in price.

Period. End of story.

But today, you have an opportunity to become part of
the fastest growing fitness organization and work in the
fastest growing and most lucrative portion of the fitness
industry.

For the lowest price possible.

Last chance.

24 hours.

End of the line.

So will you Seize the Day?

Realize that the excuses you keep conjuring up are nothing
more than you delaying on creating a successful future
for yourself?

I’ve been profiled in Newsweek.

Traveled worldwide as a consultant.

Written two books that have been sold in 6 different
continents.

Become known as the ‘go to guy’ for youth fitness and
sports training.

And every morning when I wake up, I repeat the phrase
‘Carpe Diem’ for at least 5 minutes.

It reminds me that today is a gift.

That today, I have the ability and opportunity to make
something special happen.

And my accomplishments are a direct result of that.

It’s time to Seize the Day.

Opportunity doesn’t wait forever.

And In this case, it’s only going to wait 24 more hours.

The Youth Fitness Certification Revolution Has Started…

[wpfblike]

Youth fitness certification Breakthrough.

This is your chance to revive your career.

Re-focus your life’s mission.

Gain full access to the largest market surge this industry has
seen in decades.

Become part of an international mission and worthwhile cause.

I am officially offering you my brand new ‘Level 1 – Youth Fitness certification
Specialist’ today.

And giving you the distinct opportunity of becoming part of
something very special.

That statement is truly at the core of my thoughts today.

"Being part of something special"

As Trainers and Coaches, we are used to the basic realities of
life in our industry.

College Degree

Certification

Long Hours

Unstable Financial Future

Day Off or Vacation = No Income

And while we all gain degrees of satisfaction when helping
clients succeed, we tend to be a little empty inside.

How do we take our careers to the next level?

How do we positively impact the lives of more people without
having to work even more hours?

How do we really become the ‘go to’ expert we’ve always wanted
to be?

Countless resources have shown two things about the world of
fitness and sport training:

1. It is consistently considered one of the most expanding
industry’s on the planet

2. It has one of the highest attrition rates in any industry

Don’t those seem like contradictory terms?

They are.

But that’s because most people don’t understand how to read
between the lines.

Yes… This is a $100 billion a year market in the United
States alone.

So opportunity really is everywhere.

But how do you go about creating a career in such a vast
marketplace when trading your time for an hourly rate is about
all you are positioned to do?

You charge $60 an hour.

And if you’re lucky, you have a daily client load that looks
something like this:

5:00 – 6:00am = Client 1

6:00 – 7:00am = Client 2

7:00 – 8:00am = Client 3

12:00 – 1:00pm = Client 4

3:00 – 4:00pm = Client 5

5:00 – 6:00pm = Client 6

6:00 – 7:00pm = Client 7

7 clients a day at $60 per session isn’t bad, right?

That’s roughly $100,000 a year.

Now here’s the thing…

… Do you really make $100,000 a year?

I don’t know many Trainers who do.

And even if you do, that’s based on:

:: A 14 hour day

:: No days off

:: No vacations

How do you live a healthy and full life outside of your work
schedule?

When do you have time to learn more?

When do you have time to create a business plan that allows you
to gain leverage and take control of your schedule?

When do you have time to create a marketing platform on which to
become that ‘go to’ expert you know you can be?

The reality is you can’t.

Now, I say all that to illustrate a point.

Smart professionals in every field know how to look objectively
at the industry within which they work and consider the future.

Where the market is going.

And when you take the time to assess that information, you can
take advantage of a market shift at the beginning of its change.

Those smart and fortunate few become ‘The First’.

And with anything else in life, being ‘The First’ comes with a
staggering list of benefits and opportunities.

This is YOUR opportunity.

It is no secret and I have made no bones about the fact that the
Youth Fitness and Youth Sports Training niches are THE next big
thing in this industry.

:: More than $4 billion are spent annually in the U.S. alone

:: ‘Opportunity-oriented industry’ according to Entrepreneur

:: Over 1 million youths hired a Trainer last year alone

Through the IYCA, I have opened the door to this market surge
for you.

A new ‘Gold Standard’ of credentials that is already branded.

Free 1-month access to a wealth of business information
guaranteed to enhance the success of your career.

An international network and family of professionals working
towards a common goal.

An organization who has high profile partners and endorsers the
world over.

This is your opportunity to become ‘part’ of something special.

But you need to be one of the ‘First 500’ to do it.

Somewhere around 1 million fitness professionals worldwide will
be exposed to this opportunity this month.

But only 500 will be allowed access.

At 501, I close the doors.

Below is the link I want you to click on.

And even if you don’t want to read the website, do me one favor.
