IYCA Youth Fitness & Sport Training Courses Available In College

After only 5 years, IYCA earns incredible credibility within the ‘Fitness Education’ world

April 19, 2010:  The IYCA has created a specific course blending the theory and practicality of Youth Fitness & Sport Training for students at the post-secondary level.

Both Southern Illinois University and Texas Tech University have begun offering this IYCA specific course as undergraduate electives for Exercise Science students at both institutions.

The IYCA, founded in 2003 and to market since 2005, serves as the only entity in the entire fitness and sport training world that specifically educates both professionals and students on the concepts of youth fitness, sport training and human growth and development.

"This is a very proud moment for all of us at IYCA Head Office" said Founder and CEO, Brian Grasso.  "It should also be an incredible source of pride for our Members and Certified Professionals worldwide".

The post-secondary courses were created by IYCA Director of Education and Research, Dr. Toby Brooks.

"Students leaving college and intending to work in the field of fitness and sport are largely unprepared for any initiatives they’d like to pursue within pediatrics", commented Dr. Brooks.

"This course will serve to change that and allow graduates to walk into the field very ready for the challenges associated with working in the fastest expanding market in the entire industry: youth".

The International Youth Conditioning Association (IYCA) is the premier international authority with respect to youth sports training and fitness.  The IYCA has more than 2,000 certified professionals worldwide and affiliations with organizations all over the globe including Children’s Memorial Hospital (Chicago), Millennium Institute of Sport (New Zealand) and Sport in Action (Zambia).  For more information visit www.IYCA.org or contact support@iycasupport.com
