Joe Kenn

A 25 year coaching veteran on the High School, College, and Professional level, Joe Kenn is the most decorated strength and conditioning coach in the history of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Kenn most recently was awarded the inaugural Professional Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year award from the NSCA. Kenn also won the College Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year award in 2002 making him the only coach to have won both awards.  Kenn was also named the Big West Conference Coach of the Year in 1998 and the Mountain West Conference Coach of the Year in 2000.  Coach Kenn is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) and well as a Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach with Emeritus status (RSCC*E).

Coach Kenn also has garnered the highest honor associated with the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCCa) earning his Master Strength and Conditioning Coach’s Jacket in 2009. He also holds their certification as a strength and conditioning coach certified (SCCC).

Kenn also holds a Youth Fitness Specialist Level 1 certification with the International Youth Conditioning Association (IYCA) as well as a Level 1 Nutrition Certification (PN1) through Precision Nutrition.

Coach is a highly sought after speaker and has published numerous materials. His book, The Coach’s Strength Training Playbook (Coaches Choice) is one of the most popular books for coaches in the field of strength and conditioning.

Coach Kenn has coached at Pine Crest Preparatory School (Ft. Lauderdale, FL), Wake Forest University, Boise State University, University of Utah, Arizona State University, University of Louisville, Big House Power Competitive Athletic Training, and is currently with the Carolina Panthers
