Dreams and ambition are great.
But how many times have you established a goal for yourself and not completed it?
I’ll bet that number totals into the dozens.
You start the process, get ultra-excited, amped-up beyond belief…
… And then…
Nothing.
You kind of get started, but not really.
You sort of create a plan, but never really follow it.
You get confused, overwhelmed, discouraged and then… JUST STOP.
Been there myself.
What we lack isn’t motivation, it’s a system.
And your young athletes lack it as well.
How do you get exactly what you want in life…
… And get your young athletes exactly what they want out of training with you.
3 Steps.
That’s it.
3 Steps to Setting & ACHIEVING Goals

Brian;
Absolutely spectacular. My goodness, if only there was more understanding about the power of goals and goal setting in youth sports. If only more adults understood how much THEY are missing in their lives by NOT setting goals and to what extent they are cheating young people by not teaching them how to set goals for themselves.
Well, what better environment than in the context of youth sports. It is the time when a young person achieves his or her most resourceful state of mind and is the most receptive to learning and retaining new information.
My good friend, retired NFL pro athlete and partner in 1st and Goals, Phil DuBois, told me about your site and its value. I have to say, as usual, he was completely correct. I’ve signed up and plan to visit often. Super valuable content. Thanks, Brian, for making youth sports better.

Brain,
Great stuff! Everything you stated in this video is so true! As it relates to life and athletes. I also want to be a part of what you guys are doing @ IYCA, Im currently certified through NASM CPT, PES and I have been in the performance/ fitness industry for about 6 years. My passion is to train athletes, especially young athletes. Being a former athlete myself I feel I can bring a lot to the table. I can only do that by me continuing to grow in my craft. I have been watching IYCA from the side line; now its time to get in the game. About almost a month ago now you were offering the Youth S&A specialist level one for $14.95 and three monthly installments. I missed that promo cause I dont check that email that you guys have on file as freqently as I should. Im wondering if that offer was still available? However if it is not, im going to to still purchase the product. Again I love whats going on over there, I pray for continued success.

What do you give to the kids to help them remember their goals? How many time per month do you go over them with the athlete?

Brian-
as one of those folks who ‘leans to the lofty and grandiose’ end of the spectrum, I appreciate the organizational x-ray as to how we can be more effective in our planning and execution. Since this framework lends itself to the Personal, Organizational and Coaching applications, no matter at which Level our need for better structure and the flow it provides, you have offered up an excellent piece of Pie…

You said it great Brian, You got to have a system. A system is like a plan and if you don’t have a plan then your plan is to fail.
